She has been a counselor in K-adult settings. She is a certified Career Development Instructor and maintains a private counseling practice. In addition to parenting products, she write articles, research briefs, and book chapters on transition and career development. Her work has been recognized by the National Career Development Association, the American Counseling and the DC Counseling Association.
